Reports

Post by jotyrions » Sun Mar 09, 2014 4:28 pm

Hi, new and very satisfied user of the three programs.
For Musicnizer I have 2 questions:
- I use the report feature a lot in Movienizer. In Musicnizer it is the same drill. But, I tried to modify the standard report (albums.fr3) en save it under a different name.
And it didn't do that. Now I have the standard report not working. Can someone send me another "Albums.fr3" please.
Is there somewhere a kind of tutorial or manual on how to modify these database reports (although it is all straightforward - a bit Access-like). I just find it hard to find out where the report parts are to be found.
I deleted the tracklisting part of the report, but now it returns a blank page. (see screenshot) And I don't know how to put in new parts.
- Is it possible to create a list of the artists that are mentioned in compilation albums, or to link the compilation to their artist name ?
- Is it possible to converge two instances of an artist (e.g. wrongly spelled like f.i. Kenny G and Kenny G.).Or do I have to reassign the albums according to the correct name ?
I also have two instances of "Various Artists", both spelled exactly the same. This is very anoying.

For all the rest this is a delightful program to browse once's collection.
Regards
Jo

You can reinstall the program to recovery reports. After this you can copy a report and rename.

Didn't think of that one. Worked flawlessly.
Discovered the report builder too. Works OK now.
Thanks
